Hello, Novelist!
What's stopping you from getting your story out of you and into the world?
You have a big idea for a great novel. The first few pages were easy. Maybe the first draft was easy too. But along the way you hit a wall, and you can't find your way around it.
Maybe you feel:
-
confused about how to write a novel worthy of your important ideas
-
stuck in a story problem you don't know how to solve
-
anxious about whether your skills are good enough
-
doubtful you'll cross the finish line with a story people like and recommend
-
rejected and stung, afraid your novel won't ever be as important to others as it is to you.
In a word, the answer to the question "what's stopping you?" is fear, which wears many disguises. Please, please don't let fear stop you now.
If your story is at a crossroads between becoming a great novel or never seeing the light of day, pause for a second.
I invite you to imagine yourself sitting down in your favorite place to work on your story. Envision sitting down to write knowing you are:
-
clear about your creative vision and what you need to do to help readers see it
-
creative and free to try all the options available to you, with no fear of "doing it wrong"
-
courageous about your choices
-
committed to developing the skills you need to tell a memorable story
-
confident in the progress of your work-in-progress and, ultimately, the excellence of your completed novel
-
calm about the prospect of inviting readers to experience your masterpiece.
Such a scenario is no fiction.
I'd like to show you a path into this new way of being a committed, professional, FEARLESS NOVELIST.
"Your Guide to Becoming a Fearless Novelist: Boldly Write the Stories of Your Dreams" is a map that can show you the way from fear to fun in your storytelling life. (And it's free!)
This guide will help you:
- assess what you know and don't know about writing and publishing a book
- think about your strengths and weaknesses in a new light
- to write boldly even if you think you don't know what you're doing
- understand the purpose of storycraft techniques
- feel encouraged about your publishing options.
There's never been a more exciting time to be a novelist!
Will the process be easy? No. But I promise it will be one of the most messy, playful, exhilarating, tiring, rewarding tasks you've undertaken. If that sounds like something you'd like to experience, take the first step and download the guide.
